Understand Wi-Fi icons

Connected to Wi-Fi icon that appears on the taskbar

Wi-Fi Connected 

You’re connected to Wi-Fi and the internet. You should be in good shape. If you see this icon but you’re still having connectivity issues, the problem might be with a specific app or website or a firewall blocking your Internet connection. 

Note: If you see the signal bar moving up and down, it means your device is in the process of connecting to the Wi-Fi network. Once it stops moving and displays a connection level, you're connected.

When you're connected to a VPN over Wi-Fi, the Wi-Fi icon will display a small blue VPN shield.
